Star Wars: The Old Republic video spot

Video: How good is the KOTOR-based MMO looking? Find out from the horse's mouth...

Okay, it's a dev talking up the upcoming Star Wars MMO The Old Republic, yeah-yeah, we get it.

But a little bit into this video, and you won't be hearing a word he's saying. He'll be all like "This is the bounty hunter and they are blah blah blah", and you'll be listening, but then, all of a sudden, you'll be all "Sweet zombie Jesus I just wet myself in excitement!!!".

Or maybe that's just me. Regardless, the game itself aside, I think I'll be playing this MMO for the cutscenes alone...

See?! It looks like what the prequels should have been all along - nothing but lightsabre battles and cool shit smashing into other cool shit while other cool dudes set shit on fire. I'll calm down now.

Expect Star Wars The Old Republic early next year.

GhostFaceKilla May 20, 2010 10:35 PM	xBomx go and dump your head in a bucket of water three times. And take it out twice. As noted KOTOR was great. Loved Jedi Academy and Jedi Outcast (though not as much as Academy which I thought was the awesome). Republic Commando was alos an under appreciated gem of an FPS. I also had a blast with both Battlefront games at lans. there has been some great, some average (Empire at war) and some decidely crappy star wars games. Iam hoping that in this case that the combination of Bioware and Stare Wars results in a come in your pants, take the phone off the hook, move the fridge next to the computer desk and take 2 weeks off work with annual leave kind of moment.

I can see it now, there's and old guy walking past me, I ask him what his name is and he says "Someone already took Obi Wan Kenobi, so I had to go for Obi Two Kenobi instead." Actually, that probably won't happen to me, I think i'll be that old guy. Obi Two Kenobi has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?

xBomx May 21, 2010 10:05 AM	they should make a Total War series of star wars. that would be something, Covering the mass of ground lands, air and the outer space. i want f-22 Lightning 4, else somebody make a decent flight/dog fight sim already, its been too freakin long since the PC had one. Its 11 years due, and no developers has the testicles to materialize such a content. tell me why?
Ihsan May 21, 2010 10:10 AM	Sorry David, it's a writer talking about how cool he thinks a bounty hunter is and how he thinks beginners and diehard fans will find something to enjoy without going saying a thing about how or why overlayed to an cinematic. It's not exciting and for a company that's been priding itself on new information (mostly) every Friday it's pretty pathetic. :( How about getting us some of those breaking images of Hoth instead, that'd be cool ;)
