What do you want asked at E3?

We're going to Los Angeles and the mammoth Electronic Entertainment Expo - so what do you want us to ask the big men and women of gaming?

E3.

Think E3, and you think giant games announcements, sweaty palmed PR people spinning just how good these games are, booth babes, and generally the most frenetic three days of industry who you can imagine. And Atomic is going to be all over that biatch.

So, what do you, dear reader, want to know? Our days on the show floor are already booked solid, too, but that doesn't mean we can't deliver some personalised action - we're seeing the peeps at Warner Bros Interactive, Square Enix, Ubisoft, Activision, Lucasarts, THQ, Namco Bandai (aka Atari), 2K Games, Capcom and Bethesda.

We've even got a post-E3 jaunt up to Vancouver to hang out with the folks from Relic planned.

So if you've got a burning question, and we can shoulder our way to the right guy to ask it - let us know in the comments below!

Aliens: Colonial Marines in depth; Z-77 Motherboard round-up; strategy gaming special; Home Server tutorial. PLUS MUCH MORE - ON SALE NOW!

Hi guys!

Hey it would be cool if you could ask THQ, or Vigil Games, about the 40K MMO. As much info as you can gather, find out info ont he game engine they are using and if it is true it will appear on consoles like the rumours suggest. Also ask if they collaborate with Relic at all for the project and if many members of the Vigil team has much experience with past MMO's. Any info you can get on this would be great!
Also if anyone from Relic is there try sus out anything you can on space Marine specifically how much 'RPG' is making it into this Action/RPG title. What sort of RPG traits will be in the game and how will this effect game play, will the squad be upgradeable?
Secondly I am not sure if CCP will be there for World Of Darkness if they are I assume it would just be a teaser and nothing in depth but if they are there please seek out as much info as you can on this project!

If Square have a booth for Deus Ex try find out how Augmentations will work and weapon and item customisation will be back and in what form. Was there a reason for such a heavily melee oriented trailer, as opposed to the traditionally gun focused Dx1 and 2.

I can think of about 100 more questions to ask .. OH!!. also Respawn ent.. is supposed to be doing an unveil of their next game I assume it will be concept only but sus them out too..

Thanks guys!

Oh and when speaking to THQ or Vigil find out if Joe Madureira's art styling's make it into the game or does he specifically work more as a director and not as a game artist?

My question is in regards to modding.

Modding is the pinnacle of fan loyalty. Users would band together crossing barriers of language, location and skill to collectively modify your game to create fun mini-games, new game modes, videos and so on.
Over the years as technology and skill in development leap ahead, the modding scene has suffered a drawback. It takes longer than ever before to create mods for games, as user's expectations on quality have risen dramatically. Dedicated groups still exist however that take the time (usually years!) to faithfully work with your engine and assets to create something for free, for the community.

This coupled with not releasing tools to edit game engines or assets, to the extreme example of completely removing dedicated servers effectively killing any and all chance of custom games is a large problem.

In your opinion, why have developers recently started shunning the modding scene?
Would you like your game to be modded by groups of loyal fans?
What are you doing to assist them?

Oh and for Relic again, what capacity will multi player feature in this game? Will there be co-op? It seems fitting given you play 1 member of a squad and the other members are not controllable.
Sry about triple post (crap loads to ask)..

Bundy, you are going to love some of the stuff I'll be reporting on. I know there's going to be lots of 40K mmo stuff on the THQ stand (plus lifesize character figures), and you can probably guess what I'll be seeing up at Relic HQ...

OMG you lucky bastard D.H... How much for your tickets?

You guys thought about taking some sound recording stuff and doing one of your podcasts with the relic Dev team?
would be interesting to hear their views on their approach to console development and PC development considering they have primarily been a PC dev. How this will effect the type of game they want to make etc.. Also take me along I will practice being a contortionist to fit inside your luggage.

I want someone to put Gabe Newell on his back, with a knee on his neck, and demand answers on Ep3.

This is getting absolutely bananas.

Other than that, could you ask Volition, Rebellion, Square Enix, Raven, and the other remaining PC developers why their mouse support is so awful these days? If you've tried playing AVP, or worse, Just Cause 2 on PC, you'll know what I'm talking about. The movement is terrible, it's like resting the mouse on top of a thumbstick, and then having to deal with negative acceleration. (You move the mouse a hair and it crosses the screen, but give it a big quick drag and it hardly moves.)

Seriously guys, devs have been getting mouse movement right since Doom's shareware came out. Simply chucking thumbstick code into the game and applying to the mouse DOESN'T WORK.

This is my single biggest gripe with modern PC gaming. Worse even than DRM. Patching is a close second, it just doesn't seem to happen any more. Saint's Row 2 was unplayable and utterly broken, and a locked thread on Volition's forums said there will be no patches. That is all. I've been dying for a patch for Just Cause 2, but they never released a single patch for JC1, and seem to be only interested in crappy DLC.

Fuck I'm so angry at PC gaming these days. Just round a bunch of PC devs, ask them why their games are unplayable, unsupported, overpriced rip offs of Xbox code. Then bust them all in the teeth. For me? :)

I agree in part with Tak but also I think you can tell by dev to dev in terms of the likely quality of the product Crysis 2 is going to be interesting in this regard as it will be on PS3 and 360 but the engine has a very mature tool set already for the PC so I wouldn't expect a sloppy port in fact I would be very disappointed if there was issues with the PC version. I have heard talk that the consoles being involved may limit the PC version and it will be interesting to compare and contrast Crysis 2 between the consoles and PC.

How about asking Warner Bros. Interactive about the Lego Batman 2 and Lego The Hobbit rumors? And while your at it, ask them if they'll make Lego LOTR if they do the Hobbit.
How about a release date for Batman Arkham Asylum 2 while your at it?

And can you ask Microsoft why they've stopped making Halo games for PC? It's been three years since Halo 3 came out and there's still no PC version for sale.
@takoma you can add Microsoft to your list, though I think they'll need more than a punch in the face.

Also, if you could ask EA to make Skate for PC, and also about this year's NFS game (not World, the other one) that would be very much appreciated.

Arkham Asylum 2, now THERE'S a quality suggestion. AA was spectacular, and a shining example of a port done right.

If I could have one game of its calibre per quarter, I'd be a contented PC gamer.

Whats a guy gotta do to get a free PS3/360 elite/480/i7 around here?

Why isn't there a Daft Punk game? Is it because they're French?

The last great game that included a pogo stick was Commander Keen, are you considering implementing this gameplay mechanic into your next titles?

Ubisoft: Will ghost recon: Future soldier include the ability to jump? it was lacking from GRAW 1and 2..

is this anoying? *poke*

EA: C&C4 was kind of a fail, how do you think you can better destroy such a beloved franchise?

is this anoying? *poke*

What would you change about the origional star wars trilogy?

Kirk or Picard has been done to death; Sisko or Janeway?

is this anoying? *poke*

3D graphics, Physics, 3D monitors, what do you see as the next major gaming technology?

is this anoying? *poke*

I know a little development was done before Microsoft pulled the plug, and digital anvil went belly up.

I want Freelancer 2 sooooo badly.
