Steam 'Perils of Summer' sale offers games at huge discounts until July 4th

Valve's popular online service Steam offers massive reductions on a wide range of games sure to keep you warm this winter.

While we'll be the first to point out that the 'Perils of Summer' sale might not work so well in countries that aren't actually warm right now, we're prepared to forgive that to give you a heads-up on some serious savings.

There are ten huge deals as shown on the Steam Store's carousel, offering:

Not to mention per-day specials on specific games. And in usual Valve style, the sale is rather amusing:

There's potential here for a ridiculous saving considering the current 0.86 exchange rate (as of writing), and if you've been biding your time to play that game you've always eyed off this is a cheap way to do it.

Better still is the huge volume of discounted games meaning there's something for everyone - assuming you've got enough bandwidth cap to download it all.

Head to the sale, until July 4 (USA time).

@Dapper_Dan

Unfortunately this type of post is cropping up more and more here on Atomic. But I agree with you in the fact that it is annoying.

Can we please get riya1234 banned from posting any further comments?

Dapper and singo, we are working on getting the spam reduced. It's getting a little ridiculous, we know, so fingers crossed we can get them outta here!

I was just about to buy a few game packs, only for specific games as its cheaper then to buy it by itself, till i noticed that 1 game in particular comes with TAGES DRM with limited installs (not that it would affect me, just think its the most stupidest restriction).....

I don't mind anti-cheating tech for multi-player games, but i refuse to have any DRM like Tages on my pc. So No cheap games for me, ill pass until they decide to remove the invasive DRM... (which we all know will proably never ever happen).

@ NobodyIsHere, what was the 1 particular game with tages DRM if you don't mind me asking?

@Dapper Dan the title is: The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena

and under the images on the steam page is says in a little nice orange box:
"Notice: After activating the third time your product using TAGES a 30-day timer starts. After 30 days you will get that activation back up to 3 total activations."

Well that sucks =/ I was considering getting that one too. Played the original EfBB on the old Xbox and loved it, was quite into the idea of a HD makeover
