The Doctor plays Glastonbury

Video: Matt Smith joins Orbital to close the Glastonbury music festival with a funky rendition of a familiar theme tune...

We've been loving the new Matt Smith season of Doctor Who - his crazy old man in a young man's body antics are awesome, and now, after the closing song of the recent Glastonbury festival in the UK, Matt Smith has become even cooler.

He surprised concert goers when he joined techno outfit Orbital for their final song - a cover of the Doctor Who theme. And even more awesome - Smith played on keyboards!

However, if you're up to date with the latest season finale, there's another way to look at this. It's not Matt Smith at all. It's the Doctor, celebrating saving the universe one more time. But don't take our word for it, watch it yourself!

The Doctor - the funkiest Timelord you'll ever see.
