Essential linkage: Australian Sex Party candidate Fiona Patten will contest Stephen Conroy's senate seat. Go Fiona!
Our friends over at ITnews have just posted an article covering yesterday's launch of the Australian Sex Party's 2010 election campaign. In it, Fiona Patten announces she's going to run directly against the Federal Minister for Communications, Senator Stephen Conroy.
"I'm glad to be running against Steve Conroy, the internet filterer," Patten said. "We would like to see the end to the internet filter, for all the reasons discussed in the media. "There needs to be a complete re-work of the classifications scheme in Australia. We need a national approach, and trying to shove the internet into the national classification scheme does not work. We need a complete rethink."

We interviewed Fiona Patten and Huw Campbell from the ASP last week, so if you missed that, check it out, and head on over to ITnews for more details on the campaign launch and a full gallery of the event.
