New Alice: Madness Returns trailer is... creepy

Video: American McGee's classic Alice game is making a return to PC and console, and we've got the first spooky teaser trailer.

You could go ask Alice, but from the trailer we've just looked at... we don't think you're going to get much of a sensible answer.

The news that American McGee's Alice was getting sequel hit the net yesterday to a wash of nostalgic remembrances to the darkly gothic original to which even we're not immune. And the new game's sounding like it'll be just as... twisted.

"Alice is a classic fiction, infinitely rich with memorable characters, places and experiences. Our approach to Alice: Madness Returns takes this colorful world and reinvents it with psychotic personalities and pervasive insanity" said American McGee, in yesterday's release. "We can't wait to share our vision with Alice in Wonderland fans and gamers around the world."

So here - have some blood.

Alice: Madness Returns is set for release on all major platforms in 2011.

I used to have figurines of Alice & the Vorpal blade, and the Cheshire Cat, and have no idea where they are (long gone now surely, since I've moved twice), annoying, they were cool-lookin'...
