Great news for PC gamers and fans of Warhammer 40,000. Space Marine, the previously console-only action title, will come to PC.
Well, we knew this was coming a while ago, but damn if promises to keep things quiet aren't tough. But THQ's let the cat out of the bag - Space Marine is coming to PC early next year.
The game previously caused a ripple of discontent when it was only announced for console, but given that Relic is best known for it's PC games, it could be argued this was always going to happen. Anyway, here's some deets from the Relic release:
Jonathan Dowdeswell, General Manager of Relic Entertainment commented: "The loyal PC audience is incredibly important to us here at Relic so we are delighted to be able to announce the PC version of the game." Travis Plane, Vice President of Global Brand Management commented: "Delivering great content the fans want to play is the key goal in the core games division at THQ so we are pulling out all of the stops to make this the best possible game for PC and console audiences alike." Set in the rich Warhammer 40,000 universe created by Games Workshop, Space Marine will be released worldwide for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 system and PC in early 2011.
