New Mafia II dev diary goes behind the scenes

Video: Get a sneak peak at the upcoming Mafia II, and here about what the developers aimed to achieve in this exciting new game.

We're getting kinda excited about Mafia II. Not only is it looking like a great action game with a stunning physics engine (especially if you're sporting Nvidia hardware), but it's going to allow us to indulge in our love for everything gangster.

Big cars. Retro handguns. Brooklyn accents. Cannoli.

This latest video's only making our need for the game stronger, especially tied in with the all-too brief hands on time we got at E3 recently.

Yeah, take that greenhouse! Mafia II is out on all major platforms on August 27.

Mademan Aug 9, 2010 11:55 AM	Feels like only yesterday I was sitting in this exact same spot, watching the ending credits of Mafia, and thinking "I really hope they make a sequal". Almost 8 years later, it's hard to believe it's about to become a reality.

And I look forward enjoying many hours of this wonderfully immersing and authentic period gameplay . I completed GTA4 a few days ago, and was left seriously wanting. I just know mafia will be different.
