A whole mess of cool actors and voice talent is joining Ron Perlman in the upcoming Fallout: New Vegas. We may be 'squeeing'.
Fallout: New Vegas - it's one of those rare games that most people are 100 per cent certain is going to be awesome. There simply hasn't been a bad Fallout game, and Fallout 3 was just about the perfect blend of action, RPG and dense plot. But New Vegas is going to have something that Fallout 3 lacked.
Wayne motherfucking Newton.
For those who don't know, check the man's wiki entry. But in brief, he's one of those old-school Vegas-style entertainers who's always had a wonderful sense of humour about, well, being Wayne Newton. He's made numerous cameos as himself in films, and is an outstanding entertainer. In New Vegas, he'll be playing... Mr New Vegas.
And he's not the only star. Check this, from the release we finally received today:
Screen Actors Guild-winner and Emmy and Golden Globe nominated actor Matthew Perry ("Friends"), William Sadler ("Shawshank Redemption"), Zach Levi ("Chuck"), Felicia Day ("The Guild"), Michael Dorn ("Star Trek: The Next Generation"), Kris Kristofferson ("Blade Trilogy,"), Danny Trejo ("Machete", "From Dusk Till Dawn"), John Doman ("Mystic River", "The Wire") and Rene Auberjonois ("Boston Legal", "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine").
If that's not a cast to get you excited we don't know what is. Felicia Day is geek hotness personified, Kris Kristofferson is a fine actor and one of the greatest country songwriters ever to drain a bottle of bourbon (he was a Highwayman!!!), and Danny Trejo - the last damn word in evil Mexicans. But it gets better.
Three celebrities take on roles as playable companions in Fallout: New Vegas: Danny Trejo is Raul the Ghoul, a mechanic and former gunslinger; Zach Levi is Arcade, a member of the Followers of the Apocalypse who hides a mysterious past, and Felicia Day is Veronica, a sarcastic Brotherhood of Steel scribe.
At last, Felicia Day will be following us. Oh yes.
Fallout: New Vegas is out October this year for all major platforms, and we're hoping to get a mess of hands-on time with it at Gamescom next week, so stay tuned for a preview.
