Video: The latest Fallout: New Vegas dev diary focuses on the technology of the post-apocalypse, and the game's sound design.
Fallout: New Vegas and its radioactive tastiness is just around the corner. To say we can't wait to return to the wasteland, blow up some mutants, and discover a whole new world of gear is somewhat of an understatement. The latest dev diary really isn't helping, either.
This diary covers both the technology New Vegas, and the game's sound development. In a world of vacuum tubes, rayguns and more, getting the right feel for retro-future tech can be a challenge, especially when it comes to weaponry. Gear needs to be obvious in function and look attractive, but the devs have had to tackle a whole other aesthetic. And did we mention the full auto grenade launcher?
There's a full auto grenade launcher.
On the sound front, we get to see the game's composer in action, and a taste of the music that will waft over the blasted Nevada hills. Fun times.
Fallout: New Vegas releases on all major platforms this time next month. Yay!
