Deus Ex's latest system is a 3D powerhouse

Gallery: System builder Deus Ex has sent us its latest machine... and it's drool-worthy in any number of dimensions.

Deus Ex build really solid gaming systems, and know how to present them. Their last effort, the Deus Ex OC PC was a custom-sprayed, beautifully built and highly overclocked rig that would be hard to follow...

But the 3D Vision Surround does just that!

First off, it's not just a complete 3D gaming system - no, Deus Ex has gone one further and included three Samsung monitors for that full wrap-around feeling. Powering it are two NVIDIA cards in SLI, packed into a tasty Silverstone FT102 case venting all that Fermi-generated heat quite handily.

What else is in there? Check the gallery for more!

Still sorting the final price, but it's under five grand for the entire setup. Which isn't bad, really.

gee, brings back some memories there.

I remembered i bought the Limited Edition Xbox just for Dues Ex Invisible War.

As soon as i finished the game (all endings) my dog pissed on me Xbox.

It should have dried up by now but would have that piss residue (like yellow salt) all over it.

talking about monitors there's a new model out bye Samsung, model P2770FH. It generates no more than 1ms on screen, starting from 27" @ $399.US me thinks.

And for Dues Ex 3, i praise it.

Rather impressive, ay wot!

But it needs moar bezel-less monitor action... it would rock to not have breaks (however slight) between the screens.

The only downside to this gaming rig is the 1680x1050 Resolution the 3d lcds provide.

Well technically it's a (3x1680)x1050 resolution!

And full specs will be in the review!

and i thought that nvidea's 3D vision only works with GTX 480 @ SLI.

I heard that next year a new 3D TV is coming out without needing 3D glasses, until the innovations of this technology shifts to PC monitors, one can only hope either AMD or nVidea cashes in on it.

Toshiba are the ones working on the parallax barrier 3d technique (3d without glasses). From what I have read its a different type of 3d rather than things poping out of the screen its more of a inward depth 3d I guess similar to holograms cards.

xBomx, I run this type of 3D on my pair of GTX295s flawlessly.

Fabian2K, I think that technology was shown at Atomic Live a few years back, and things did appear to pop out of the screen without the use of any eyewear. The price was about the same as LCDs were when they just started coming out (I paid ~$1800 for a 14 inch LCD back in the day, how 'ouch' is that!)
