Video: Discover how Black Ops currency system and customisation options are going to create a whole new way to shoot people in the face.
Modern Warfare 2 was a huge hit, but managed to really disappoint the PC playing crowd. With the next game in the Call of Duty franchise, Black Ops, dues out in a month, you might already be feeling a sense of 'meh' about the game. Fair enough, once bitten, twice teabagged, as they say, but it's really starting to look like there's a lot more meat to get your multiplayer teeth into.
The latest trailer for Black Ops shows off the game's currency system, explaining how it will interact with the system of level-based unlocks that have been a part of the series for two games now. Short story, you'll unlock groups of Perks, but will need to spend money to purchase individual bonuses.
This same cash also ties into the customisation system, which opens up your whole online avatar. It's looking pretty sweet - though we expect to get sick of folks using the Crow makeup real fast (assuming we can resist it ourselves...)
Call of Duty: Black Ops is releasing on all major platforms on the 9th of November this year, and keep an eye out for an upcoming LAN comp at Atomic HQ!
