Batman: Arkham City screenshots are just around the corner, and we've got our hands on a new render of one Harley Quinn...
You didn't need to be a fan of Batman to be able to enjoy the first game that released last year, Batman: Arkham Asylum, though it certainly did help - scores of artwork, fully-voiced characters (Mark Hamill's Joker!!) and a groin-grabbingly good plot.
The developer, Rocksteady Studios, aren't letting it stand alone - and development of Batman: Arkham City has been in full swing for quite some time already. A press release fell into our inbox that explains:
"[players are sent] soaring into Arkham City, the new maximum security "home" for all of Gotham City's thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds... set inside the heavily fortified walls of a sprawling district in the heart of Gotham City"
Though the game is due to be released in Spring of 2011 (Australian Spring, even) there hasn't been too much released about the game; well, these screenshots will have to tide you over until then.
Also making re-appearance in a starring role is Harley Quinn, Joker's sole love interest and partner in crime, sporting a new outfit more like her original lycra than the over-the-top nurse costume of Arkham Asylum. Check it:
There's a heap of screenshots to be ogled in our gallery of photos, too, so head thattaway and keep checking the site for updates - we'll be covering Arkham City in the lead-up to its release.
