World of Warcraft: Cataclysm trailer brings the epic

Video: Discover the dark fate of Azeroth in the first cinematic trailer for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.

We're not the most dedicated World of Warcraft player in the world, but even we're getting pretty excited about the looming release of the latest expansion - Cataclysm.

The new talent re-spec and large world update that precedes the release is even pretty awesome, bringing new gameplay and graphics tweaks to the game. And now this new trailer, which, to be perfectly fair and honest...

... is pants-wettingly awesome.

First up: Dragons - dragons are cool. Anyone who knows their popcorn fantasy also knows that undead dragons are even better. But the Cataclysm trailer goes that extra yard - undead dragons that are being held together by bolted on armour plates breaking out of aeons old prison and f**king up the known world.

Oh, yeah.

Cataclysm will be available on December 7 this year. And, once again, we're going to have an Atomican on the ground at Blizzcon this year, so stay tuned for all the latest WoW news!

BlackDracula Oct 18, 2010 12:30 PM	It's definitely a cool cinematic, and I think Blizzards efforts to update WoW to stand up a little better with modern games will pay off. One thing though, Deathwing isn't undead...

kikz Oct 18, 2010 1:45 PM	Liked the Lich King cinematic better :) I may get back into WoW for a brief stint when this hits the shelves. Having given up only a month or so ago and still getting round in i264 gear, it shouldn't be too bad. then again, meh.
alexdtree Oct 18, 2010 2:18 PM	brilliant back from schoolies on the 5th a day recovery on the 6th followed by hours upon hours upon hours upon hours of WOW. but Sirtrancealot if you were a tank your dmg mitigation would be high enough to hold your GF's Agro :P you should definitely start playing again
