Well whaddaya know - looks like there's some love for us PC folk after all. Clean Sweep DLC is coming to PC, as well as a second, paid DLC pack - Hot Zone.
We had bit of a whinge recently about the way the PC platform tends to miss it when it comes to cross-platform releases. In particular, we were jacked off by DLC announcements for Fallout: New Vegas and Medal of Honor that looked over PC gamers entirely.
But, thankfully, we've just heard that EA, at least, has not forgotten us.
A release today announced that the Clean Sweep pack we outlined in the above post is in fact coming all platforms on November the 2nd. It's an elimination mode that sounds pretty sweet - with the harsher ballistics model of the game it could be a real winner.
However, in today's announcement EA's also dropped news on a paid DLC pack that's coming out on the same day - and it too is entirely cross-platform.
Hot Zone is a new King of the Hill mode where teams must contest a single piece of ground. Hold it the longest, and you win. It'll be featured on two new maps, Hindukush Pass and Korengal Outpost, as well as on two reworked existing maps - Shahikot Valley and Helmand Valley. It'll cost 800 MS points on Xbox, though we only have UK pricing at the moment for PS3 and PC. But we expect it to be around ten to fifteen bucks.
Of course, it still begs the question why PC wasn't mentioned in the initial Clean Sweep announcement. It's likely EA and DICE wanted to get a patch in place before making any official noises about PC DLC - but we're not likely to have that confirmed.
Regardless, we're glad the content's coming out way.
