October has come and very nearly gone, so it's time to once again have a look at the very best that the Atomic forums have to offer...
You know what I love? I love the 3rd season of Star Trek: The Next Generation - it has great writing, some wonderful performances from an ensemble cast starting to really come into their own, and some cracking stories.
Oh... and I also love awarding POST OF THE MONTH to a worthy Atomican!
As usual it's been quite the challenge sorting out who comes out on top this month, but in the end we've decided to pass on the POTM mantle to a certain stalwart of the Photography section, so the big ups go to...
Athiril! For continuing to deliver photographic awesomeness, and in particular helping another Atomican out in a purchasing thread right here:
"The 7D is much higher resolution than the 5D II (5D II is the same as the 30D and 350D in resolution), it is 116 lp/mm (or 232 pixels/mm) vs the 5D II of 78 lp/mm (158 pixels/mm) (about the same as Velvia's low-contrast resolution, but much lower than some b&w films, and the high contrast resolution of colour films in general)."
Well done - Athiril walks away with this month's prize, a sexy Imperator Mouse from Razer. But of course, there's more awesome than that. Also on-song this month are:
nukejockey, and his excellent HAF build log.
"I decided to use a new CPU block (EK Plexi) and added some red LEDs to it along with some orange/red CCs in the case. The cable management turned out quite well, although I still don't understand why companies insist on putting windows over HDD bays. (Guys, if you're listening, no one wants to see that shit!.)"
Kommando, for his work of braaaaainy excellence.
"URRRH Brains."
"URRRH
Brains."
And, last but not least, Emperor_Matej_I for delivering some great legal learning.
"The key thing to remember is that it's only in ACT and NSW where the apology can contain an admission of fault. In all other places, only an expression of regret/sorrow without an admission will be covered by the provisions."
Well done all.
