GIGABYTE Sandy Bridge motherboard spotted running naked in Taipei

Luckily our sister site, PC Authority, were there in time to grab embarrassing shots of the new P67A-UD4 as it went past.

We all know that Sandy Bridge is coming, and we've all been waiting expectantly for it to bring about a new wave of motherboard releases. We've seen them before at IDF, but never before in the form you'd get to buy them in - PC Authority saw a retail P67A-UD4 mere hours ago.

Thrown out the window is the traditional blue GIGABYTE PCB, but also with it goes the white packaging; all their new 'boards will come packed in black. Hinting at enhanced PCIe bandwidth available to the P67 chipset, the P67A-UD4 motherboard boasts the usual NEC USB3.0 fare, but doubles them to offer up to four 4.8gbps-capable ports.

There's a lot more detail in their gallery, so we'll let their pictures speak as words and stand by theirselves - while we wait to get our hands on the super-sexy P67A-UD7. Stay tuned.

Awnshegh Nov 17, 2010 11:02 AM	I must admit the board does look good in black. It'll make anything with a little colour 'pop'. Though i'm not usre how much use I'll get out of it. My PC sits stuck beween a desk and the kitchen cupboards and the only way someone is getting a loo inside my case when I pull it out every month for it's clean.
