: Check out the first trailer for Sega's new squad-based shooter, Binary Domain - it's full of robot blasting fun!
Is there any entertainment more pure than blowing the crap out of wave of wave of badguys? It's what some of the most seminal games of all time are based on, and it's even tastier fun when those badguys are faceless robots.
It's practically a victimless crime!
And it's also the heart of the new game from Sega and Toshihiro 'Yakuza' Nagoshi - Binary Domain.
It's a sci-fi-based shooter, with squad elements, set in a robot-infested post-apocalyptic Tokyo in 2080. Which, of course, begs the question... why Tolkyo? It's always getting bombed, nuked, giant-radioactive-animal-stomped or whatever. What did it ever do to deserve this?
Tokyo's fate aside, the game will feature a strong AI that Sega claims will make battlefield progress more challenging and compelling than ever before.
Sadly, as neat as the game looks, it's only coming on 360 and PS3 at this stage. No release date as yet.
