Sega announces new shooter, Binary Domain

: Check out the first trailer for Sega's new squad-based shooter, Binary Domain - it's full of robot blasting fun!

Is there any entertainment more pure than blowing the crap out of wave of wave of badguys? It's what some of the most seminal games of all time are based on, and it's even tastier fun when those badguys are faceless robots.

It's practically a victimless crime!

And it's also the heart of the new game from Sega and Toshihiro 'Yakuza' Nagoshi - Binary Domain.

It's a sci-fi-based shooter, with squad elements, set in a robot-infested post-apocalyptic Tokyo in 2080. Which, of course, begs the question... why Tolkyo? It's always getting bombed, nuked, giant-radioactive-animal-stomped or whatever. What did it ever do to deserve this?

Tokyo's fate aside, the game will feature a strong AI that Sega claims will make battlefield progress more challenging and compelling than ever before.

Sadly, as neat as the game looks, it's only coming on 360 and PS3 at this stage. No release date as yet.

Hmmmm. Might work better as a movie rather than a game.

It just looks stupid from the start to the end.
What’s with making the battle filed more changing and compelling than ever before cant they just bring a game out that is just really good and not try to be the next best thing.
I don’t mind killing robots (Can you kill a robot?) but they are trying to make the storyline all big from the looks of it. It might have been more interesting if they hadn’t of shown me that they were robots(The chick at the end…[Babies can have sex…wha[none of this makes sense must buy game}]) and instead you find out in some way you are a robot(Cliché) etc. My point is it looks everything in this vid looks shit.
