In case you were wondering, a few more people have been added to the cast of The Hobbit, in time for production to kick off in February. We’re wishing for a relatively straightforward shoot so Martin Freeman can get back to the UK to film a second season of Sherlock, but given the controversy courted to date, that seems … hopeful.

We here in the Atomic offices are a little bit cranky with US cable-TV channel FX this week, but not cranky enough to ignore the news that the television adaptation of Powers has gone from cheeky internet rumour to reality. Creator Brian Michael Bendis broke the news on Twitter (where else?) this week. Let’s hope it lasts longer than Terriers (not that we’re bitter … much).
