Sacrifice and Loss in Homefront's latest trailer

Video: Listen to Kim Jong Un's message to occupied America in this latest Homefront singleplayer trailer.

The dark future of Homefront's war torn USA may well be a piece of speculative fiction, but real world news stories are starting to get scarily in tune with this tale of North Korean military aggression and ascension. This latest trailer focuses on the sacrifice and loss of the American people, and the future leader of North Korea's - Kim Jong Un - response.

And, given recent Korean aggression, in the shape of the artillery strikes from a few weeks ago, we're getting a little... weirded out.

But, at the same time, we're also looking forward more and more to this game. The speech delivered in this trailer has writer John Milius' prints all over it - especially the phrase "the burning torch of freedom". Yeah... scary.

Anyhoo, watch and enjoy.

Homefront releases on all major platforms next March.

Kim Jong Un needs to construct farms and markets to keep his people and country progressively abundant and happy.

His eating up all the food supplies just look at him compared to his comrades and population.

All he needs is one bite of KFC before a peace treaty can be initialize.

Homefront is still looking good but I'm finding it very difficult to get over the stupidly implausible plot.

In light of this, they should write a game where North Korea stops making nukes, and starts making fluffy toys, and Kim Jong Un, gives Obama a big man hug.

Seriously, any large scale movement of North Korean personnel beyond North Korea's borders will result in equally large scale defections. Having to raid villages for cats, dogs, and rats while on Winter exercises to fill their bellies suggests it is not the fine food that keeps them there. Nor is it the physical and verbal abuse dished out by their seniors. Nor could it be a vista flecked with people living under terrible hardship (http://tinyurl.com/288as38).

The bond that ties NK soldiers together is the fear of being shot in the back while trying to escape.
