A demo of the over the top FPS Bulletstorm is in the works - but only on Xbox and PS3. Sucks to be a PC gamer. UPDATED AGAIN: This is just getting silly...
UPDATE: Sorry for the confusion folks - EA just informed me that its local release incorrectly left off the Xbox info - this demo will be out on Xbox LIVE :)
So, Bulletstorm - trailer after trailer has showed this upcoming shooter to be a breed apart from the usual range of military FPSes on the market. It's bright, colourful and tongue-in-cheek tone look to be a breath of fresh air in what is becoming a grim and stuffy genre.
So it'll be great for gamers to finally get a hands-on taste of the game, with a demo set to be released on the 25th of this month - we played it at E3 and it's surprisingly fun.
However, there are some serious catches... basically, if you're a PC gamer, you're missing out. It's only getting an Xbox LIVE and PSN release.
That said, it is very amusing reading the flaming on the Bulletstorm Facebook page, which is full of console kiddies telling PC gamers to buy a real gaming machine, and PC fans generally saying WTF. For example, Junior Rambo (who I doubt is in fact related to Sly Stallone) has this to say:
Whiny ass PC users, get some dam cash and buy a GAMING system! That's what it's for, video games. If you want to play computer games I have a site where you can play them, it's called Addictinggames.com. Good luck =]
Thankfully, sensible adults such as Logan Nowak are there to set folks right:
Holy cockdogs, what is with all the console users telling us PC gamers to buy a console? I'm sorry, some of us have standards.
Whacky fun. Bulletstorm is out on all platforms on the 25th of February.
