Bulletstorm demo coming - but not on PC

A demo of the over the top FPS Bulletstorm is in the works - but only on Xbox and PS3. Sucks to be a PC gamer. UPDATED AGAIN: This is just getting silly...

UPDATE: Sorry for the confusion folks - EA just informed me that its local release incorrectly left off the Xbox info - this demo will be out on Xbox LIVE :)

So, Bulletstorm - trailer after trailer has showed this upcoming shooter to be a breed apart from the usual range of military FPSes on the market. It's bright, colourful and tongue-in-cheek tone look to be a breath of fresh air in what is becoming a grim and stuffy genre.

So it'll be great for gamers to finally get a hands-on taste of the game, with a demo set to be released on the 25th of this month - we played it at E3 and it's surprisingly fun.

However, there are some serious catches... basically, if you're a PC gamer, you're missing out. It's only getting an Xbox LIVE and PSN release.

That said, it is very amusing reading the flaming on the Bulletstorm Facebook page, which is full of console kiddies telling PC gamers to buy a real gaming machine, and PC fans generally saying WTF. For example, Junior Rambo (who I doubt is in fact related to Sly Stallone) has this to say:

Whiny ass PC users, get some dam cash and buy a GAMING system! That's what it's for, video games. If you want to play computer games I have a site where you can play them, it's called Addictinggames.com. Good luck =]

Thankfully, sensible adults such as Logan Nowak are there to set folks right:

Holy cockdogs, what is with all the console users telling us PC gamers to buy a console? I'm sorry, some of us have standards.

Whacky fun. Bulletstorm is out on all platforms on the 25th of February.

I'd like to see any console run this game better than any half-decent modern gaming PC.

I haven't consistently gamed on consoles since my SEGA Megadrive, but watching my brother play COD on XBOX makes me sad in a way only the unholy combination of aliasing + artifacting + vitrolic screaming preteens can.

I've got an 360 at home, no way in hell would i play a shooter on it. I barely use it as it is...the kids get more use out of it playing Batman Lego.

lol at the console users telling pc gamers to rattle up some cash and get a console.
I'm sure they could... but I think the card in their system is a lot more expensive than the current console price :P

I have no problems with any system but its a bit of shame that pc users are missing out esp when they've put a lot of effort to get their pc up to scratch.

I love my ps3 but i think i love the multimedia capabilities like blu-ray more!

this game does look interesting though but Im hopeless with fps on consoles!

Been a PC gamer since the original Doom. A couple of years ago i made the very difficult jump to a console system. At the end of the day, I was tired of dumping thousands on GPU's, CPU's and any other kind of U's just so i could play a ported game. I suppose it would be similar to dumping thousands on a muscle car just to drive in Sydney. WTF! Anyways, I guess what i miss most about PC gaming is chatting to other players about our rigs and who has what and bragging about frame rate to players. It matters no more. Its like a bunch of drones playing against each other. No skill, no tact, no pride and no Headsets with mics! WHY! im so sick of hearing others players breathing into the mic, or hearing the family in the background. I miss my PC. Yes, i love my PS3. I love that it also plays Blue ray. I love that it is the Old PS3 fat (upgraded to 500gig)and that it so shiny and beautiful and compliments my Sony Tv so well.
Its now been a couple of years with my console and i fear that I've mastered the analog thumb stick. What have i become.

I wouldn't worry too much. I never liked the GoW games, and UT3 was terrible, so in reality, Epic haven't made anything epic since UT2k4, which itself was a repair job on UT2k3. Portal 2 ftw.

It reminds me of Serious Sam. And that was awesome.

Seems similar to Serious Sam in some respects - which was good, but I prefer a more serious shooter. Looking forward to HomeFront the most, which hopefully won't feel like another console port. I'm quite sure Bulletstorm will.

Why argue, doesn't everyone have both?

@Periander: No? I don't even use the crappy old television that came with my unit, let alone own a console to hook up to it.

Even if I did there's no way I'd play an FPS on a console.

I'm really looking forward to this. Looks like it'll balls-out, cheesy fun.

And Rick Remender (author of such comics as Fear Agent, Punisher & Uncanny X-Force) has penned the story for it, which can only be a good thing!

i'll wait for PC full version, if it doesnt come out then i wont be owning/playing it. FPS on consoles = worst gaming experience ever for me.
