Team Immunity picks up a new sponsor

Monitor manufacturer BenQ shows Australia's best known eSports team the money.

Team Immunity – the gaming folks who some credit with putting Australian eSports on the map – have signed a major sponsorship deal with monitor folks BenQ.

The deal specifically covers the launch of the XL2410T – BenQ’s first gaming-specific monitor. The monitor was designed with input from champion CS players, including Emil ‘HeatoN’ Christiensen and Abdisamad ‘SpawN’ Mohamed, with help from gaming manufacturers Zowie Gear.

It’s not the first time the Team Immunity folks have worked with BenQ. TI have chosen BenQ monitors to exhibit on more than once in the past couple of years.

“We look forward to showcasing the gaming performance of BenQ screens in 2011 and beyond,” said TI’s Managing Director Tony Trubridge, in a statement released today. It’s not all one-way though, with Trubridge also hoping the deal helps Team Immunity in their mission of “increasing the status and viability of professional gaming in Australia and around the world.”

Will Atomic review the XL2410T? I have one myself and am interested on your thoughts. Personally I think it's lovetastic.

"The monitor was designed with input from champion CS players"

Exactly what the fuck would a bunch of CS players know about the creation of a high quality LCD display? Does it make every game look 10 years out of date?

Mademan - considering both Heaton and Spawn have competed on and used more CRT and LCD panels than you've had hot dinners - I'd say they're very applicable to the R&D and development cycle.
