Crysis 2's multiplayer looking hot

Yes, we're a little nervous about Crysis 2.

The whole cross-platform thing has got us worried that we're going to get a limited PC experience - the devs say otherwise, but looking at console exclusive demos and it's easy to start getting worried.

All that said, though, when we look at a trailer like this, covering the game's multiplayer, we start getting excited again.

Rage09 Jan 25, 2011 10:46 PM	Not sure about that sliding, the rest looks pretty cool though. I never played Crysis online, might grab it from my brother and give it a go. The suit modes certainly opens up alot of options.

Athlonite Jan 26, 2011 11:44 AM	Ah but does it have LAN play or is it just online only (again) it really beats the shit out of me as to why game devs forget about LAN gaming for most PC games, as I don't own nor use an console I couldn't give a maggot infested rats rectum about what they do for them but please don't forget that LAN play is still a big thing for us PC enthusiasts with actual friends

Sneaky Jan 26, 2011 5:58 PM	yeah, im with athlonite. until i hear that ANY new fps these days has dedicated servers that you can run locally at a lan, im ignoring them completely. but remember: even if the game has dedicated servers, and even if its not DRM fucked, and all the other myriad things that devs dont comment on until a game is released, it will still probably suck arse. we used to get 50 new shooters a year on pc. none compromised for console. none without servers. and even then, 49 were so bad we couldnt uninstall them fast enough. now we get 2 or 3 a year to 'sift' through. those are some shit odds right there. i fear we'll be playing q3/cs1.6/cod4 for awhile yet...

xBomx Jan 27, 2011 10:08 PM	poor video clip, but a background theme from The Prodigy should get anyone nervous, imo simply the mp in this game is so far not too convincing. I reckon BFBC2 still holds the benchmark in mp.
