EA brings Dragon Age to Facebook

Just when we thought we couldn't possibly waste any more time on the internet, they go and announce this...

Whether you’re looking forward to Dragon Age II, or just hunting for a Facebook game more challenging and less pointless (and annoying to all your friends) than Cityville, EA has some news that might interest you.

And that news is today’s launch of the closed beta of Dragon Age Legends, which EA are billing as “the first game to bring an award-winning franchise and high-quality gameplay to social networks”.

As well as being able to play with and recruit friends, successful applicants for the beta will be getting a sneak peek at the Free Marches, the main setting used in Dragon Age II, so they’ll have a nifty head start on everyone else come March 11. And as a bonus incentive, completing various missions in Legends will win you gear you’ll find very handy once you get started in Dragon Age II.

You will, of course, need to be both on Facebook and have an EA account, but if you think the good folks at EA having access to various bits of your data is a small price to pay for a head start on some good old fashioned Hawking around, then go here to put your hand up.

I honestly want *nothing* more than for my facebook to become a viral marketing extension of EA.

If it'll help kill off Farm/City/Pet/Alien/PoodleVille, then I'm all for it...
