We're still a little over a month out from release, but EA have made the wait just a little easier for PC fans...
EA have announced that Crysis-hounds will be able to get their hands on the game – well, at least some of it – in just a couple of short weeks. March 1st will see the release of a multiplayer demo, downloadable from the EA website, which includes ‘two stunning maps, two adrenaline-filled modes, and hours of multiplayer action’.
The demo will also give players an opportunity to master the Nanosuit, one of the games signature features that boosts speed and strength while giving the gift of invisibility. The extent of the demo also bodes well for the multiplayer experience as a whole, which will reportedly include six modes played out over twelve Big Apple-centric maps, giving players the opportunity to attain fifty different ranks and unlock all sorts of weaponry and abilities.
And in news that will surely be pleasing to Atomicans, if not everyone, this demo is for – wait for it – PC only.
And that’s not all. EA have also confirmed that anyone who pre-orders Crysis 2 from today will get an automatic upgrade to the Limited Edition, which includes all sorts of in-game goodies, including Hologram decoys and bonus XP.
March 24th has never seemed so far away – but at least we now have March 1st to look forward to in the meantime.
