Video: We don't want to alarm anyone, but Battlefield 3 could well re-write the FPS landscape. Too soon?
It's in the nature of game journos to get excited. By and large, we're gamers ourselves, so when a game comes along that's bang on what we've been waiting for, it's easy to lose any sense of perspective and just rant. We, as an industry, must all times strive to be fair and balanced.
This, is not one of those times. The new Battlefield 3 trailer has us pants-tentingly happy.
As gameplay teases go, this very much errs on the side of tease, but what it does show us - and yes, early days and all that - is a game engine that looks to be one of the must stunning on the market. Frostbite 2, we want your anti-aliased babies.

Battlefield 3 is out later this year.
