Crysis 2 weapon progression trailer - boom?

Trailer: Discover Crysis 2's weapon progression unlocks in the new game's multiplayer modes. Is it CoD in a Nanosuit?

Do you like cheesy voice-overs in your game-trailers? You're going to love this latest Crysis 2 trailer, then. It's downright cheese-tastic!

It's something about the accent. If it had a posh British VO, it would be all gravitas and shit. If it were Australian, well, it'd just feel natural. But that particular 'I'm okay, you're okay' US accent just grates. Maybe it's the way it sounds like both the VO guy and the writer seem to have no idea of their audience, we just can't get behind it.

Though, at least, it does remind us that we really need to remember to install the damn demo tonight so we can give the game bit of a blast.

Hopefully, it looks better than this, though...

Mordecai Mar 7, 2011 4:34 PM	I agree with your comment about the voice. It's "meh". You could just see this guy at a bar trying to sleazily pick up some cheap woman. "When we get home You can add accessories to my mancannon, you have you condom, flavoured and some interesting ways for professional players to personalise it" I wouldn't mind a single player demo just to show off normal game play rather then just multiplay.

boltronics Mar 7, 2011 9:20 PM	Agreed, the voice-over sucks. I played the demo a bit. Some of the textures didn't look so great. I came off feeling like a lot of the kills came down to luck instead of skill. Also, what's with people from US, Germany, UK, etc. all in one game? The kill replays showed all the shots missed me, but I still died - probably the weapons aren't precision-accurate. Also, so many of the servers have 0-ping? WTF really? The game menu just seemed screwy. And finally, there was no sound for me with my Logitech G35 surround sound headset - no idea why. Definitely avoiding this to start off with - but might pick it up later on the cheap if it has a good single-player campaign (I enjoyed the first Crysis/Warhead). I really hope Homefront doesn't suck.
