New HyperX T1 RAM from Kingston

Thinking about a new X58-based build with Intel's new 990X CPU? Kingston's got the perfect RAM for you...

Our build fingers are getting itchy. Not only are we in love with GIGABYTE's new G1 series of mobos, and not only are we getting a shiny new Core i7-990X chip from Intel, but now Kingston comes out with a sexy new range of HyperX RAM to go with it all.

The HyperX T1 Black DDR3 kit is a triple-channel monster made with the latest chips from Intel in mind. It's available in kits of three or six modules, in capacities up to a super-mega-giant 24GB.

"Our new HyperX T1 Black triple-channel kits give enthusiasts the opportunity to combine performance and to style into their PC build," said Ann Bai, DRAM Memory Sales Director, APAC Region, in today's release. "These high-capacity kits are ideal for the X58 products on the market, especially the new GIGABYTE G1-Killer gaming motherboards."

Here's the technical specs on the parts:

Kingston HyperX T1 Black DDR3 1600MHz Specifications

Part Number

Capacity and Features

KHX1600C9D3T1BK6/24GX

24GB 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM (Kit of 6) XMP T1 Series  CL9-9-9-27

KHX1600C9D3T1BK3/12GX

12GB 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM (Kit of 3) XMP T1 Black Series CL9-9-9-27

KHX1600C9D3T1BK3/6GX

6GB 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM (Kit of 3) XMP T1 Black Series  CL9-9-9-27

The pricing on the three kits starts at $244 for the 6GB kit, $447 for the 12 and then a wallet-bursting $895 for the 24GB kit. But hey, if you're investing in this end of the spectrum, you probably have money to burn.

^^^^my thoughts exactly.
cmon since elpida stopped making hypers there has been nothing close to them on the market.
we are still getting alot of slack timed/clocked crap.
i know more ram puts more stress on chipset but we expect better form high priced kits than this.
for the price i would expect at least 8-8-8-24 @1600.
i fear we are stuck with crap ram until we get a new more capable chipset or ram manufacturers pull off a miracle.
/end rant.
