Deus Ex: Human Revolution gets a release date

If you're as keyed up as we are about Deus Ex: Human Revolution, then you'll be excited to know it's got a hard release date at last...

Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the prequel to the PC classic Deus Ex, has finally gotten a local Australian release date.

It'll drop, on all major platforms, on the 25th of August this year. Only five or so months to go!

"We are extremely excited and proud of DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION and cannot wait to finally let gamers experience this unique and captivating game," said Stephane D'Astous, general manager of Eidos-Montreal, in today's announcement. "The team has worked incredibly hard these last few years to create an unforgettable universe which introduces franchise fans and new players alike to this powerful vision of the future, where the choices you make create your own personal gameplay experience."

We've already talked up a mess of trailers, and even given a couple of previews - we've not had the luck for a hands on, yet, but man... we cannot wait for this release.

Really looking forward to this game a lot. The only thing is if it really dilevers I'm just going to want more and then be dissapointed when there isnt anymore. Like mass effect knowing that 3 is the last of the sheppard story (they have hinted that they will continue in a lot of talks) is kinda depressing. Still maybe they'll remake the original (the physics and graphics were a little too dated for me to really get into playing - I missed it the first time round).

Sob, so much for the end of the financial year release.
At least my pre-ordered collectors PC version will be well and truely paid for by then.
