Enjoying Black Ops more than we did? Well, we've got some news to make your Monday just that little bit more bearable.
We’ll admit it, we didn’t love Call of Duty: Black Ops when it first came out, and we’re frankly not been back recently to revise our opinions. That said, we know plenty of people disagreed with us, and its status as the largest entertainment launch of all time cannot be ignored.
For those people still playing and still loving it, and also for the folks who played it to bits but have put it down looking for a new challenge, Treyarch has announced Black Ops First Strike, their first DLC offering for the game.
First Strike features five new maps, including ‘Berlin Wall’, ‘Kowloon’, ‘Stadium’ and ‘Discovery, which features an abandoned German outpost in Antarctica. There’s also an attempt by Treyarch to jump onto the never-leaving zombie bandwagon with ‘Ascention’, a level where players fight against a range of zombie enemies including ‘perk-stealing zombie monkeys’ and ‘flesh-eating Soviet zombies’.
First Strike is available for download right now for PC gamers, and if you’ve got nothing better to do this morning Treyarch are also holding a bit of a Double XP ‘weekend’ to celebrate the lauch. Kill a couple of zombies for us, will ya?
