Gallery: Six new screens for this year's most anticipated fantasy RPG, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

You can learn a lot about the upcoming Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim just by looking at these six new screens, released by Bethesda over the weekend.

First up, this is a colder, grittier world than we've seen before. Artistically, it looks as though it borrows more from the palette of artists like Frank Frazetta - and this is not a bad thing. Skyrim's full of bulging thews, grim landscapes and pitted, ancient looking weapons.

You can also see the game's dual-wielding system, with characters holding an array of ironmongery and glowing magical items or even just flinging raw magic.

And, of course, you've got a stealth-kill, which should make those rogue-lovers out there happy in their +5 Pants of Sneaking.

So check out the gallery for all the pretty.

Is it just me or does it look to be set in Canada?

If Canada is a low polygon mess of blurry textures, then yes, it looks like it'll be set in Canada.

Don't most of them do that anyways? Maybe they're following a trend?

We're getting a few of those - I and others can obviously see it, but I'll pass this on to the devs.

I love David Hollingworth's, spelling mistakes, make me laugh, very entertaining.

"...just by look(ing) at these six new screens..."

I found this sentence absolutely hilarious:-

this is a coldier( what the hell!) "colder" isn't even a word...

Anyway...

"You can also see the game's dual-wielding system..."

-What tha... What do you mean? IV had "dual-Wield"(is there something NEW about it, OR havn't you played IV?)

"...with characters holding an array of ironmongery and glowing magical items or even just flinging raw magic."

- Again, this is NOT new...

"And, of course, you've got a stealth-kill, which should make those rogue-lovers out there happy in their +5 Pants of Sneaking."

- Sigh, points to the above...

"So check out the gallery for all the pretty."

- "all the PRETTY" ,seriously, you think that's a sentence?

David Hollingworth, Fail - 3/10.

1st and last sentences of W3r3Wu1F's post are totally contradictory... if you are going to pull someone up on spelling and the accuracy of there sentences please do so yourself too!
P.S. What sort of name is W3r3Wu1F? pretty sure that doesn't spell anything. :)

"pkroeze, oh dear...

1. "1st and last sentences of W3r3Wu1F's post are totally contradictory"

Firstly, try looking up the word "Irony" and then check out the word "sarcasm", you'd be AMAZED at what you CAN learn from a dictionary, or even from going to school and learning English(there's adult education classes..).

"if you are going to pull someone up on spelling and the accuracy of there sentences please do so yourself too!"

Secondly, While i agree on your basic premise, we should all TRY to do so, and i know it's difficult to do always and that when were in a hurry, we make mistakes, but that should only really happen in long post's or when the post is dealing with complicated subject matter; But the real issue here is(and you miss the point entirely.), is that Mr Hollingworth, is PAID to do this(even if he isn't paid, he represents a company), and that we(i hope not just I)expect a higher level of "editorial" standard, and that you suggest that i should be held to the same standard, is quiet naive...

"P.S. What sort of name is W3r3Wu1F? pretty sure that doesn't spell anything. :)"

Thirdly, Seriously, do you actually THINK that is a reasonable or sensible statement? sigh, trying to end your argument, by attacking and/or belittling my Nick, my game name, seriously that's hilarious, of course it doesn't "SPELL"

anything, you can't find it in the Dictionary, so yes technically, it spells nothing, but that's not the point, i wanted a unique nickname for gaming on-line(you do know about nicknames and on-line gaming, don't you?)etc...

Anyway, have nice day...

Oh i just saw i mistake i made, which you could of used, i combined "colder" with "grittier" and produced "coldier", maybe i have dyslexia? lol.

Anyway, for mistake, i would like to apologize to Mr Hollingsworth.

Have a nice day.
