Gallery: We've got tasty new screens for the next Witcher title, plus the game's hardware specs!

Mystery, violence, epic locations, and intrigue - the new pack of screens for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings have it all.

And we also have the hardware specs for the game, so you can work out just how much of an upgrade you'll need to play it - hint: not much of a one!

So without further ado...

Minimum System Requirements:

  • OS: Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista SP2 / Windows 7 (32/64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 Ghz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+
  • Memory: 1 GB Windows XP / 2 GB Windows Vista and Windows 7
  • Video Card: 512 MB RAM, supporting Pixel Shader 3.0 (Nvidia GeForce 8800 or ATI Radeon HD3850)

Recommended System Requirements:

  • OS: Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista SP2 / Windows 7 (32/64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad or AMD Phenom X4
  • Memory: 3 GB Windows XP / 4 GB Windows Vista and Windows 7
  • Video Card: 1 GB RAM, supporting Pixel Shader 3.0 (Nvidia GeForce GTX260 or ATI Radeon HD4850)

Additionally:

  • Sound Card: compatible with DirectX 9.0c
  • HDD: 16 GB of disc space
  • Disc Drive: DVD x8, compatible with DVD9
  • Instalation requires administrator access.
  • Game supports Xbox 360 controller for Windows.

The Witcher 2 is out in May on PC only.

hope my 6950 ATI can run it well >_> my AMD phenom II x4 810 @2.6GHz and 4 gig ram is a big bottleneck for my GPU :(

Then again maybe I should actually play my Witcher 1 on steam for more than 5 mins before I buy this lol.

Or I could just add the witcher 2 to my 150ish games on steam I only ever played 10 mins of per >_<

Its been pulled from australian steam store at the moment.
I'll be pissed if it falls under the R rating catagory and we miss out again....
