Brink to come early - surprise!

What?! A game actually coming early for a change?! Are the Brink developers mad? Regardless, Brink's coming sooner than you think...

We're taking way more joy from this simple little announcement than you might imagine. I mean, how often do you get to deliver good news with regards to game release dates?! And that's just what we're doing - Splash Damage, Bethesda and Ubisoft have just announced that Brink, the upcoming futuristic shooter is coming to all platforms a week early.

The game will now be out on May 12 in Australia.

"Production wrapped on Brink earlier than we planned and we didn't see any reason to keep gamers from getting their hands on this highly anticipated game as soon as it was ready," said Pete Hines, VP of PR and Marketing for Bethesda. "It's apparent from the tremendous reaction so far that people are eager to jump online and play, and if we can make that happen earlier - we're going to."

Hot diggety.

I think to myself, May? Damn, still ages away. I think to myself, wait, it's half way through April ... Some kind of crazy time-travelling tomfoolery going on here ...
