You may not know the name, but you'll surely know his work. Find out who's composed the soundtrack for Lord of the Rings: War in the North...
No, you haven’t accidentally stumbled onto a classical music website, although we do see how that pic could have given you pause.
What we have today is the announcement that rather legendary and accomplished composer Inon Zur has written the score for Lord of the Rings: War in the North. Not only that, but he’s taken a 70-piece orchestra to the rather famous Abbey Road Studios to conduct and record the game soundtrack – so it should end up sounding spectacular.
If the name doesn’t ring a bell, we’re pretty sure his work does. Zur has written soundtracks for so many games it’s hard to know where to start, but perhaps with Dragon Age II rings a bell? Fallout: New Vegas? Crysis? Everquest? You get the idea…
Of course, he’s also done TV and film work, but we’re hesitant to use The Bachelor as a recommendation for anything, so we’re just going to skip right over most of that and pretend he just really needed the money.
War in the North is slated to hit shelves by the end of the year, but if you’re looking for an early idea of what to expect, check out the May issue of our fine publication, on sale now, for a preview.
