Red Faction Armageddon demo is coming

Our return to the red planet gets a final release date, and a demo – for those too impatient to wait!

Based on news we received today, Red Faction: Armageddon will be officially released on June 9th, across the three major platforms. Now, that may be more than a month away, and a few days after the initial release date we gave you a while ago, but THQ – in their infinite wisdom – have softened the blow with the announcement of a free playable demo. It’s the perfect (free) gift for anyone who just cannot wait a full month to get back to Martian warfare, or anyone who just isn’t sure they want to. Or for yourself. In fact, probably mostly for yourself.

Xbox Live users will get an advance introduction to Darius Mason and his alien-ravage Martian land from this coming Wednesday, May 4th. You’ll get your hands on a nano Forge and a Magnet Gun, for maximum stuff blowing-up ability, and the Nano Forge’s Reconstruction ability, should you consider yourself more a builder than a destroyer.

Now, before Playstation people get all up in arms, THQ are planning to release the demo to PSN users on the same day, but it does rely on your network being up and running, so you’ll just have to wait and see how that goes. Or yell at Sony some more. Either-or.

LMAO. niiiice. Sucks for the PS players right now. Netflicks is going to loose a lot of money.

Bummer about the PC demo as of yet, but I'm not fussed. Volition is a good group ... unlike OTHER developers these days. I won't mention any names .. that you might have already in this month's issue. ;D
