Friday Linky Fun

As we say goodbye to the longerst three-day week ever, it's time for your usual does of linky goodness. This week: Torchwood, Superman and more...

It’s a pretty trailer-heavy week this week, and where better to start than with the first trailer for Immortals, the movie Henry Cavill is in before he becomes Superman. It’s looking pretty good, and we’re not just talking about Cavill himself *ahem*.

And speaking of Superman, it now has a villainess, and no, it’s not Olivia Wilde, but rather her German doppelganger, and she’ll be playing Faora, General Zod’s partner in crime.

Back to the trailers, and a bit of a change of pace, this trailer for the next season of Doctor Who’s naughtier sibling, Torchwood, gives us some idea of what (or who) Captain Jack is going to do next.

Also in our trailer-watch pile this week is the new theatrical trailer for X-Men: First Class, which has the internet abuzz and, according to these folks, fans of the comic approve. Probably getting slightly less approval is the Transformers: Dark of the Moon trailer, out just this morning. We’re still stuck on thinking that the title is missing a word.

Terminator 5. Yes. Apparently, it’s happening, and apparently, it will be featuring one Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is once again available for movie-making. Which means that maybe, it will be worth watching. Maybe...

…But maybe you’d prefer to check out this Shakespearian reboot of Terminator 2, which some folks in the US are attempting to stage some time in the near future. You can help fund the show, or just cross your fingers people wealthier than step in and someday it will make its way to Australia.

In Game of Thrones news, everyone is watching Game of Thrones! Also, according to this site, George RR Martin and the Lost Boys (the other ones) have kissed and made up after that whole crappy-ending kerfuffle. There’s also an interesting interview with Martin himself, should you not care about who’s annoyed with who in lalaland. There are also reports that the next book in the ‘A Song of Fire and Ice’ series may actually be finished, some six years after the last one. It’s also rumoured to be very thick, so fans should clear a gap in their schedules.

And finally, a cartoon for all those among us that grew up on Tetris. Happy weekend folks!
