Trailer: Trippy new motion game, Child of Eden, is a delirious ride through colours and space... and, annoyingly, we like the look of it!
We first saw Child of Eden at last year's Ubisoft E3 pre-show press conference. It looked like a trippy, psychadelic experience then, and it's still looking like a unique and immersive take on motion gaming now, nearly a year later.
Child of Eden combines sound and human motion with eery and at times ethereal on-screen graphics. The resulting combination is... well, we'll say it again, trippy in the extreme. Your own body conducts a symphony of light and sound, with what looks to be some very basic gameplay function thrown in to keep it interesting.
But high scores aren't the point. Rather, it's the total immersion of your mind into the experience. Of course, you'll still look like a flailing idiot playing it, but you probably won't be feeling half as self-conscious about it!
