Melbourne Revolver kicks it up a notch

This week we took the Atomic Revolver event to Melbourne, with back to back events showing off a range of very cool gaming hardware.

After the overwhelming success of Sydney's Atomic Revolver event we took it on the road this week, running two events in conjunction with Monash University's annual Computer Games Bootcamp

During the day we ran a Revolver event for almost 1000 boot camp attendees, followed up by a more intimate nighttime gathering of over a hundred Atomicans. Our sponsors showed off a range of funky new kit, including a few products so new to the country that they havent even made it into the Atomic labs yet.

Samsung showed off its new monitors, focusing on a move to 3D that is independant of NVIDIA 3D Vision thanks to bluetooth based glasses.

Razer not only supplied pretty much everyone on campus with Beanies, it gave us our first look at the new Hydra based motion controller and custom Portal 2 levels.

Gigabyte and Geil had our good friend Tony Trubridge from Team Immunity giving us a rundown of how their products helped out the team, and gave us a bit of an update on how their eSports teams were faring.

Coolermaster had the new rubberised AMD editon CM Enforcer case on show, the first time we'd seen it since it impressed us at Computex.

MSI was there to show off its gaming laptops, including the beastly GT780 which has been codesigned by top euro gaming team fnatic.

With giveaways and beers flowing into the night it was a truly fantastic event, which couldnt have been possible without the help of our sponsors and the tireless efforts of Monash Uni's IT department, its army of boot camp volunteers, and the crew from gaming TV show Level 3, who ran the live streaming of the daytime event.

Check out our gallery of the day here, we'll have videos up in a week or so once Level 3 get some well deserved sleep.
