Annihilation comes to PC and PS3

The third Call of Duty: Black Ops DLC is an XBox exclusive no longer. Now everyone can get another dose of zombie action...

Those of you playing Call of Duty: Black Ops on the 360 have probably been getting down, dirty and undead with the Annihilation DLC for close on a month now, while lording it over your PC and PS3-bound friends just for extra giggles.

Sadly for you, though, your time for gloating has come to an end, with Annihilation available on those other platforms from today.

This is the third DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops, and includes four new maps, including:

• Hangar 18: a trip into Area 51, full of experimental weapons and a mysterious autopsy room
• Drive-in: close-quarters combat in the confines of a retro 1960’s drive-in movie theatre
• Silo: a battleground deep within the innards of a soviet-era missile site
• Hazard: the world’s most dangerous golf-course, perched on the cliffs of Cuba

There’s also the obligatory zombie level, and this time it’s Shangri La – a mythical paradise with underground caverns and a lush jungle shrine.

In order to sweeten the pot and get you online and downloading, Treyarch and Activision are also hosting a double XP weekend starting today. So, if you’re on a PS3 or PC, and looking for something to shoot over the next couple of days, this may be worth checking out.
