Gallery: New shots from Cyanide's latest tabletop-to-PC title, based on Rackham's Confrontation miniatures game.
We've got a soft spot for plucky little game developer, Cyanide. They're not an industry giant by a long shot, but they do some titles which are close to our hearts. We still fire up its PC interpretation of tabletop classic Bloodbowl, and they're working on Game of Thrones: Genesis, based on the stupidly popular books of the same name.
We'd missed it up until now, but Cyanide's also working on another tabletop game, the French-developed Confrontation, by the now sadly defunct Rackham Miniatures. And, today, Cyanide released a mess of new screens and some art for the game. Here's the official take on the game:
As the Age of Rag'narok is approaching, you will take the lead of a troup of elite Griffin warriors infiltrating enemy territory in order to bring an end to the Scorpion threat. During their journey, they will have to face numerous threats, such as the fearsome creatures of the Alchemists of Dirz, the brutal Orcs of Bran-O-Kor, or the ferocious Wolfen pack.
The screens look neat enough, and we know the miniatures game was quite popular, with some stunningly designed figures and beautiful artwork. If that look and feel can be translated into the game, it could be intriguing.
Confrontation will be out later this year. Check out our gallery for a sneak-peak.
