Cute/gritty indie RPG Bastion out on PC this month

One of our surprise hits of E3 is coming out this month on PC and Xbox LIVE - Bastion is a very different RPG you have to play...

It may not have been our favourite game of the show (really, who can compete with BF3), but it was certainly our surprise hit of the show. We didn't get a lot of time with Supergiant Games' Bastion, but the time we did spend was awesome. The combination of isometric and cutesy RPG graphics and present tense narration from someone doing their best Tom Waits impersonation had us sold.

And now, the rest of you can give it a go. The game will be out on Steam and Xbox LIVE on August 17.

The PC version is definitely where it's at. It's DRM-free, uses Steam's Cloud service for save games and achievements, and is in full 1080p. To pre-order and to learn more about Bastion, hit the link.
