Just in case you aren’t displaying your love of this game enough, Razer’s got keyboards, mice, mats, controllers, bags and cases. Overkill, or awesomeness?
If you've not already noticed, Battlefield 3 is coming. It's coming in a big way – it's one of the most anticipated and hyped titles of recent gaming memory.
What better way to ring in the new champion in competitive first-person shooters than to prepare yourself with an arsenal of new gaming stuff: all Battlefield 3-themed. Razer have partnered with EA to bring some themed accessories to market that may tempt your fancy.
It goes without saying that we can recommend the first item announced from Razer, the Battlefield 3 Blackwidow Ultimate keyboard – it's essentially the same as what we've reviewed before, but comes with an eyeball-friendly orange backlight.
This should prove much better for those who choose to game in low light, as blue wavelengths are uncomfortable on the eyes. We recommend this before we've even seen it – and that's a rare thing indeed. The special edition keyboard will run US$139.99.
Second on the list is the Battlefield 3 Imperator, an updated version of an earlier Razer mouse made for righties. We didn't love the first version, so will save our judgement for the second when we get it in for in-depth review. It's listed as US$79.99.
Then there's the Razer Scarab, with a Battlefield 3 image letting everyone else know you're serious about your game. Or that you very rarely see sunlight. It's US$39.99, which is expensive for a mousepad, but perhaps it'll prove worthwhile in real-life testing.
The last functionally useful gaming device is the Battlefield 3 Razer Onza Tournament Edition controller for Xbox360; for those console gamers out there who need some more bling (and better control of their game) this is a tempting choice – though PC gamers need not apply.
Finally there's a messenger bag and an iPhone 4 case for US$79.99 and US$19.99 respectively, though these are much of a muchness.
We can't wait to get in samples of the major gaming gear here to test, as Razer make the usual claims of gaming supremacy with each device – by the 25 October release date we should be familiar enough with Battlefield 3 to be able to compare.
