It's fun to give stuff away, and that's exactly what Corsair's just done for its 'Name that PC' competition with system maker, NRG!
To say that Corsair's 'Name that PC' competition, to give a new NRG gaming system a shiny name and give some cool Corsair tech away to some lucky Atomicans, a success is an understatement. It went off like a computerised frog in a sock.
We had thousands of views of the video of NRG's next hot gaming system, all shiny and white in a limited edition Corsair case, and almost as many entries to name the system. But, at the end of the day, only three could win...
Which was kind of complex, as six folks chose the best name! However, when we fell back on why they chose that name, there were three clear winners, and their tasty prizes:
1st: J. Ernst, QLD (Graphite Series 600T Case, Corsair 2x 6GB Dominator Ram (12 GB Total) & Corsair Force Series 115 GB SSD)) 2nd: L. Qiang, NSW (Corsair 2x 6GB Dominator Ram(12 GB Total)) 3rd: E. Chiu, NSW (Corsair Force Series 115GB SSD)
Our winner had an awesome reason for the name, too: Avalanche, the destructive potential of an avalanche to annihilate all objects in its path, just as this rig will obliterate the limits of any game.
Aw, yeah.
Congrats, guys! And what name did they all choose? AVALANCHE! Which, for a white, powerful gaming system, is pretty much bang on. Well done.
And, it's worth mentioning a few honourable, well, mentions, who caught the eye of our judges:
Thanks for all the entries, folks, and thanks to Corsair for the awesome prizes.
