New Rage trailer - kill the Gearheads!

Trailer: It's all action, some exploding robots, in this latest trailer from id's upcoming FPS, RAGE.

There's no mistaking the feel of a shooter from id software. The company may have built the foundations that the genre is built upon, but in a lot of ways its games are like flies stuck in amber. They may be graphically glorious and lots of fun, but they're also throwbacks to a simpler gaming age.

That's one of the reasons we're glad that, while id's not really changing up the nine-weapons-is-enough-for-everybody feel of its combat, it's at least adding a wider world and more RPG elements into RAGE. 

This new trailer shows off some of the game's settings and characters, a lot of fun toys like turrets and spider-bots, and some gritty looking combat. We'll say one thing - it's sure looking pretty, too.
