The soundcard ain't dead, and here's a sexy new Sound Blaster model to make gaming audiophiles weap. We hope...
It's quite ironic that just the other night, at a pre-Xmas product night where we ran into the local Creative team, that we told them we'd love to have a closer relationship. It's ironic, because despite that, we've still had to discover by mere chance that the company's just released a new Sound Blaster product.
Huh. They're obviously focusing more on consumer stuff like speakers and headphones.
Our grumbles aside, we do like the look of the new Sound Blaster Recon3D Fatal1ty Professional. It's a mouthful, but it looks like a tasty one, with THX TruStudio Pro, CrystalVoice processing, Echo Cancellation and a very neat glowing Core3D Processor. This one chip features a digital signal processor, HD digital-to-analog and analog-to-digital converters on the one low-power chip.
For more deets, check out the product site, while we fire off a friendly little email to Creative... The card is 'coming soon', and has an RRP of $199.95.
