Sony continues to get seriouser and seriouser about cyber security, and its new Chief Information Security officer is no exception.
The now infamous 'Sony hack' is still causing the company some epic grief, and will likely be held up as the mother of all security failures for many years to come (yesterday's DIRT 3 hack notwithstanding). However, Sony is continuing to work to prevent anything like that happening again, and has hired Philip R. Reitinger, ex Homeland Security type, as the company's new Chief Information Security officer.
Reitinger has some serious pedigree on his resume, according to Wikipedia, and has worked in numerous government agencies as a security and cybercrime expert, and with Microsoft as the curiously-named Chief Trustworthy Infrastructure Strategist.
Sony could certainly use a big old dose of trustworthiness, that's for sure.
