"This is going to be a fighting ship - I intend to go in harm's way... " Kudos to whoever nails the quote without Google, as the next Wargaming.net free-to-play game gets a website.
Screw the PC gaming is dead crowd. Screw them right in the ear. All you need to do to see the platform and gaming on it is alive and well is look at companies like Wargaming.net, and their excellent work in the free-to-play space. First World of Tanks, and now we have World of Warplanes and World of Battleships to look foward to - and Battleships now even has an official site.
It's not a huge bit of news, but I can't tell you just how excited I am by it. It's great to see Wargaming.net really making it with these games, and it's great to see ways of getting great games into the hands of passionate gamers.
Not to mention the fact that as a giant warnerd, all of these games are like manna from heaven (or, more accurately, crack from the source). Now, not only can we wax lyrical about all things armoured, and call it work, but we can talk up the curvaceous beauty of the Spitfire, or the indomitable willpower of Taffy 3 at the Battle off Samar.
Nice one, Wargaming.net.
