Ah, the soothing, retro-nostalgic sounds of chiptunes - soon to feature at a special event in Melbourne!
We (well, I, really, since we're all up in that grill at the moment) like to look after your social calendar here at Atomic. Whether it's making sure you know the games to play, the Atomic events to attend or even the hot games days at local unis, we have got you covered like a boss. Hell, we'll even let you know about hot new clubs if there's a game spin, and if you want games music...
Well, you can't get gamier (wait, does that work?) than the upcoming Blip Festival Australia.
The Festival is a two day event celebrating chiptunes and music. These 8-bit inspired melodies are growing more and more popular; the festival's promoters - the 8bitpeoples collective - run a regular SoundBytes night, but the Blip Festival is going to be even bigger.
It''ll combine the best talent in the field, satellite workshops and talks all over Melbourne, with the highlight shows happening at teh Evelyn Hotel on Brunswick St on the 17th and 18th of February next year. For more deets, and ticket sales announcements, check out the official site.
