It's crouching panda, hidden monk time in World of Warcraft, as Mists of Pandaria is announced as the next expansion at Blizzcon 2011. Also: my pokemons - let me show them to you...
Well, we're not at Blizzcon this year (must have been something we said!), but it's hard to dodge the big news. No, it's not that Mists of Pandaria is the next World of Warcraft expansion, but rather... that we called it months ago!
Okay, gloating aside, the new expansion brings in the Pandaren, the almost comically chubby new nuetral (yes, that's a first) race in the expansion. Along with them we get a new continent, Pandaria, that seems chock block with pagodas, poppy fields and cadres of martial artists infringing Yo-yo Ma's copyright.
Oh, and one of the Pandaren racial abilities is called Bouncy, which reduces fall damage - so maybe Dreamworks should be interested, too...
Along with this, the level cap raises to 90, the talent system changes again, and there's even a new 'pet battle system', which is basically Pokemon for Azeroth. And yeah, it did get us excited about beating up other pets with our Starcraft 2 Marauder.
There's a whole mess more news, of course, but you can pick that up over at the official WoW site.
