No, not Red Dead Redemption for a proper gaming platform, rather it is the return of the company's flagship franchise.
You'd have to be pretty niave to assume that Rockstar wasn't working on a new Grand Theft Auto title, but thanks to an overnight change to the rockstar website it is now confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V exists.
In typical slow-tease Rockstar style this has taken the form of a splash page with the game's logo and the promise of a trailer next week, on the 2nd of November (which will likely be the third for us anitpodeans). That is it, no artsy shots of a paunchy, brooding, aged Nico Belic or the like (although to be fair Rockstar is likely to go with a new protaganist given the franchise's history).
The only thing we can currently confirm is that the company is using the same font for the title. Such is the nature of these teaser campaigns. And the five takes its design cues from US currency.
Of course a GTA game related to money is about as no-brainer as a military shooter only allowing your teammates to open doors. So we should let the speculation begin, what kind of modern American tale of redemption through criminality do you think we are in store for this time around?
